Open to a Town or Municipality in Rural PEI that provides space for Community non-profit Vegetable Gardens. The cash award will be provided to the Town, Municipality, or Community Group that oversees the planting and care of the garden. The harvest may be enjoyed by the residents and/or donated to local food bank initiatives.

 

Judging will commence after July 19, 2026

Criteria for judging & Scoring:

• Overall appearance   250 points
• Variety of vegetables  250 points
• Cultivation and carefree of weeds 200 points
• Implementation of plant supports, such as staking, trellis, etc.  100 points
• Care of soil  100 points

• Watering/Hydration provided as required  100 points

• Sign design and attractiveness  100 points
• Plant identification 100 points

Total Possible Points:  1200 points
