
Judging Guidelines

Judging will commence after July 21, 2025, for entries in the following competitions: Homeowner Flower/Vegetable Gardens, Recently Established Flower Garden, Youth Garden, Window Box/Container, Community/Commemorative Garden, Community Vegetable Garden and Mailbox/Home Identification.

Judging will commence after September 1, 2025, for the following competitions: Farm Home Improvement, Heritage Home, Heritage Community Building, Home Improvement, Commercial Building Improvement, Tourist Accommodation, Rural Cemetery, Community Building Improvement, and Reuse-Recycle-Repurpose.

Entries will not be advised of the date and time the judges will arrive.

Judges will take photographs of the properties during the judging process. Photographs will become the property of the Prince Edward Island Rural Beautification Society.

Additional prizes may be awarded if warranted.
- The decisions and the selection of the winners made by the judges are final. Records are the confidential property of the Society and will not be made public.
- If a special award cannot be presented as advertised, the Society reserves the right to present an award of equal value to replace it.
- The intended mandate of Prince Edward Island Rural Beautification Society is to enhance the rural landscape of PEI. Therefore, only residential / commercial properties and community organizations located in rural Prince Edward Island will be accepted (excluding Charlottetown and Summerside).
- Artificial Flowers can’t be used in any of the competitions, except for the Rural Cemetery Competition.
