Provincial Prizes:
First Prize: $500.00
Second Prize: $300.00
Third Prize: $200.00
Open to any community building in rural PEI (excluding Charlottetown and Summerside) that was
built in 1950 or earlier. Community buildings such as but not limited to: Women’s Institute, Lions Clubs, 4-H Clubs, Churches, Community Theatres, Royal Canadian Legions, Municipal/Town offices etc.). Communities will be recognized for their outstanding efforts in maintaining the building(s), property and surroundings. If you have any history or details on the heritage of the building/property, please include with your entry.
Judging will commence after September 1, 2026
Entry deadline – June 30, 2026
Criteria for judging & Scoring:
• Overall appearance and curb appeal 350 points
• Effort to maintain the original character of the building 300 points
• Appearance of additional outbuildings 200 points
• Lawn maintenance and surrounding property 150 points
• Addition of flowers (gardens & planters) 150 points
• General landscaping and maintenance 150 points
• Maintenance of property entrance/driveway 100 points
• Free of litter on highway frontage with grass trimmed 100 points
• Canadian/Provincial flag displayed 50 points
• Signs, mailbox and Civic number where applicable 50 points
Total Possible Points: 1600 points
